TaperMode

Trust centre · reviewed 15 July 2026

Your barber brief is yours, and local means local.

TaperMode does not ask for a selfie, account, name, email address, or appointment details to build a consultation card.

Nothing sent from the builder

Selections, keep and avoid outcomes, and free-text notes are processed in your browser. The builder has no API submission and does not send brief contents to analytics.

Save is explicit

Nothing is stored between visits until you choose “Save here.” That writes one brief to this browser’s local storage. It does not sync to another browser or device.

Aggregate site analytics

The site uses Vercel Web Analytics for aggregate page-use measurement. Normal page requests also reach the hosting platform. No custom event contains your brief answers or note.

What local storage does and does not mean

  • • A saved brief can be viewed by someone who can use the same browser profile.
  • • Browser local storage is not described as encryption or a secure vault.
  • • Clearing site or browser data removes the saved copy.
  • • Private-browsing modes may remove it automatically when the session ends.
  • • Copying, printing, downloading, or saving as PDF creates a separate copy that you control.

Your controls

Use “Clear saved copy” inside the builder to remove TaperMode’s browser-storage item. “Start over” resets the open form but intentionally does not delete a separately saved copy.
